What Defines Sydney’s North Shore?

Sydney’s north shore is a highly desirable and affluent area that is situated to the north of the city center. The region comprises a collection of suburbs and localities that offer a mix of stunning natural beauty, world-class amenities, and easy access to the city. 

Sydney’s lower and upper north shore are two distinct regions that offer their own unique charm and lifestyle. The lower north shore is located just across the harbor from the city center and comprises a number of leafy suburbs that offer a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere. Some of the most popular suburbs in this region include Cremorne, Neutral Bay, Greenwich and Mosman, all of which are known for their stunning waterfront properties, excellent restaurants, and boutique shopping.

The area is also renowned for its natural beauty, with stunning harbor views, leafy parks, and pristine beaches all within easy reach. Other notable suburbs in the north shore include Willoughby, Crows Nest, Lane Cove, and Cammeray, all of which offer excellent public transport links and a range of shopping and dining options.


The upper north shore, on the other hand, is situated further north and encompasses a number of suburbs that offer a more suburban feel. These suburbs, such as Wahroonga, Turramurra, and Pymble, are known for their spacious homes, leafy streets, and excellent schools. Both the lower and upper north shore offer easy access to the city center and are serviced by excellent public transport links, making them highly desirable places to live for families and professionals alike.
